≅ friendship ≅

Although they have many possible aspects to their relationship, I know for a fact that their friendship is truly my favorite. It is also the one part of their interaction that is shown up the most. With their silly antics toward one another and what seems like a tireless battle to see who can be more witty, their friendship is held near and dear to my heart. Through out the game, we get to catch these little glimpses of their bond and just how strong it is. Everything about their friendship shows, to me, that they are truly the best of friends.

Despite the rather polar differences in their personalities, they seem to have this common ground about them that is reflected in their love of having fun and, well, having fun at the cost of others. They enjoy their jokes and their quiet moments and within this peaceful nature, they connect. Both seem to have grown up with this back and forth banter and it was through that that they seemed to grow such a strong bond.

When they were young, I imagine it must have been harder to develop such a friendship. With Jade not understanding many human emotions or caring to truly learn about them, it must have been a real task for Peony to get inside his head, force him to listen and finally get around to having Jade actually come around to thinking of him as someone other then just another human being. However, they say the trials through out a friendship are what make them stronger and with so many large, bonding experiences, it really comes as no surprise as to why they are so close now.
