Who is Kazuma Mikura? At first introduction, Kazu is merely another member of Ikki's little gang. There is nothing special about him. He's one of the crowd, a follower with loyalty issues and who follows his gut instinct to flee on more then once. Doesn't seem like a very good friend to keep around, does he?
But that's where Kazu begins. From day one, he has forever been a coward. In the basic human instinct of fight or flight, he always chose the later and it didn't
matter who it was that got harmed in his place, as long as it wasn't him. Apologies could be said later. Then, suddenly the world of Air Treck comes into his life
and his cowardice is put to the test. Tests like nothing he has ever encountered before. Suddenly the pup who used to cower in corner is given wings and is forced up
into the unprotected sky. Without realizing it, he forces himself to start changing. Drastically. Battle after battle, he is forced to confront his fears and
noticing that even the littlest moments of courage start to have big effects. Suddenly bravery looks good.
But like anybody who defies their given nature, Kazu takes a long time to finally come to terms with himself. Through trial after trial, he starts to realize that strength isn't something that can be compared and just like anyone else, he has things to offer that nobody else can. He is is own pillar. What is Air Gear? The story follows a boy named Ikki Minami. In the beginning, he is a punk ass kid with too much confidence and little understanding of how
chaos really functions. Rather quickly, he becomes drowned in the world of Air Treck and from day one, he gets himself in way over his head. Chapter by chapter, we
see his development as a character and a human being. The world of Air Trecks gets bigger before him and more complicated with each battle. Suddenly the idea of true
and pure chaos isn't a small gang in a middle school anymore.
